Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines that are programmed to think like humans and mimic their actions. The term may also be applied to any machine that exhibits traits associated with a human mind such as learning and problem-solving. It is intelligence demonstrated by machines. An AI can learn speech recognition, problem-solving, learning and planning. Examples of popular industries that uses AI are SIRI, TESLA, NETFLIX, BIXBY, PANDORA etc.

How does AI help your organization?: This skill will help your organization save time and money as well as eradicate repetitive jobs, AI doesn’t get tired or bored of working, it will increase revenue and efficiency hence save money for the company, it will generate business insight faster no matter how large the data is and it continues to improve, it will reduce errors in business and will make decisions based on the information given to it. It will help enhance customers experience, I mean look at the buzz about Siri or how Netflix just keeps telling you to view a movie you might love and continue from one you have been watching and streamline suggestions based on what you have previously viewed. Awesome technology that is AI. This is not to totally make humans loss their jobs but to eradicate tedious day to day activities and becoming an AI developer is really hot cake. One will argue that it has its flaws, well humans also have their flaws but it can get better, it is teachable and will present only what is being inputted in it or what it is being configured to do.

You will need to at least study for 2 to 4 years and have prerequisite in computer science or Linear algebra (vectors, matrices, derivatives), Calculus, Basic probability theory, Python programming. Most universities offer the Artificial Intelligence course for study, However the top 3 certification according to Analytics Insight are: Machine Learning AI certification by Stanford university, Artificial Intelligence executive certification by kellogg and Udacity Machine learning Nanodegree to mention but a few. You can obtain a certificate with about 6000 USD for a short period course but goes up to thousands of dollars to study from a university.
