It will take an interested party who seeks a change in career path at least close to 1-2 years to become a certified Data analyst or business intelligence analyst from a university, However, you can also gain some certification in 6-9 months depending on your background. Most universities will offer Business Analytics for master's program, However the top certifying body that you can get a recognized certificate on analytics are Certification of Professional Achievement in Data Sciences by Columbia University, Certified Analytics Professional by INFORM, Cloudera Certified Associate (CCA) Data Analyst by Cloudera. You can pay about $200 to $1500 for these certificates examination but can also spend up to $60,000.00 to obtain a master certification in this skill. You can also choose to start by learning the basics from Udemy, coursera, LinkedIn learning etc. to conclude on your interest.
